classes

All our classes are friendly guided, starting with an introduction, short pranayama (breathing techniques) and  meditation, this will help you to set up you mind and get ready for your class.  We move progressively with warm up movements followed by yoga asana (poses) sequences.  Teachers will observe and offer any adaptation as need it.  After exploring all your potential, you will enjoy a rest and finish your yoga practice renewed and ready to follow with your journey.

During our classes, we encourage students to listen and experiment with their own bodies, to build each posse in a safe, compassionate and loving way to balance their body and mind, increasing balance, strength and flexibility at their own pace.

Many actual practitioners spend years doing demanding postures without a method and sometimes they do not know what Yoga means, what they do in class, and why are they doing it, etc. In our classes you will find different styles and teachers who will guide you with proper techniques and  alignments.

WE HAVE A CLASS FOR YOU:

Pravesa: (Pravesha) from Sanskrit means in  "the entrance" This method integrates, meditation, breathing techniques, mantras (chanting), and posture sequences adapted to all levels.  You will move at your own pace; the instructor will guide you and offer case-by-case modifications if necessary.  We'd like to invite you to tune into the inner experience and explore your very own and unique expression of each form, each pose is held for full 5 breaths to purify the physical body of toxins and your mind from the excess of activity.

Beginners:  Detail-oriented and slow-paced.  Whether you are young or old, overweight, or fit, yoga has the power to calm the mind and strengthen the body. We totally understand how intimidating could be to start a new class.  We'd love to guide you through all the way!

Vinyasa : This is a style of yoga characterized by stringing postures together so that you move from one to another, seamlessly, using breath.  This flow offers strength, flexibility, concentration, breath work, and the form of meditation in movement.

Yin Yoga: Works deeply into our body with passive, longer-held poses. It targets the deepest tissues of the body, our connective tissues, ligaments, joints, bones, and the deep fascia.

Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga:  This is a system of yoga transmitted to the modern world by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois (1915-2009). This method of yoga involves synchronizing the breath with a progressive series of postures producing intense internal heat and a profuse, purifying sweat that detoxifies muscles and organs. The result is improved circulation, a light and strong body, and a calm mind.  This is a 90-minute class, get ready to sweat and connect with your inner strength.

Arudha:  During this class we  workshop the poses to get a better understanding of the alignment and the anatomy involved.  This method includes challenging postures, some demanding transitions, and Pranayama Techniques followed by a deep relaxation. Get ready to discover your next step.

Prenatal Yoga:  Prenatal  Yoga is an ideal activity for all expectant moms: It’s gentle and designed for pregnancy, which means it helps prepare you for the mental aspects of childbirth (and beyond).  Our certified Prenatal Yoga teacher recommends yoga for the mom-to-be:  "Pregnancy is such a special time in a woman’s life. We are more aware than ever of our co-creating power as life grows right in our body. It is specially important to stay grounded, stay centered and also to have a group of  women going through the same changes, challenges and joys. Not to mention how good it feels to move and stretch and give back some love to our overachieving body." - Mariana Salas.

Yogi minds for Kids:  Our program includes fun dynamics and activities that will help children to develop greater control of their body, increase concentration times, and learn how to recognize and auto regulate their emotions through the breathing.

On the physical level Yoga poses will improve flexibility, strength, and endurance. Also, kids are more likely to be more focused and less likely to be injured.  Yoga loosens and prepares your muscles for the strenuous exercise in case your child practices a high-performance sport, which can prevent muscle strains and joint stress.

Younger for Longer:  This method was created with a lot of love and compassion.  We adapt asanas (poses) to make yoga accessible to a wider audience.  This class is dedicated to people with specific needs to restore mobility due to age, illness, sedentary or any other condition that causes a limitation in movement.  During this class, we use different kind of accessories "props" such as:  chairs, blocks, blankets straps, balls, etc. to offer a nice experience and bring closer the experience of yoga. This is a detail-oriented, slow pace and gentle class.  Regular practitioners are also welcomed, this is a great opportunity to go deeper in your conscience of movement.
